Morgan De Sanctis is an Italian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie A club Napoli and the Italian national team.

De Sanctis never became a regular of national team. He was under shadow of Gianluigi Buffon for more than 6 years. De Sanctis made his debut for the Italian national team on 30 March 2005, in a friendly match against Iceland. In the 2006 FIFA World Cup he was one of the four backup players for the 23-men main squad for any possible injury between Buffon, Angelo Peruzzi and Marco Amelia. After 2006 FIFA World Cup, he secured a place as no.2 to travel with squad to UEFA Euro 2008, 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Under new coach Cesare Prandelli, Azzurri preferred to include younger heir of Buffon, instead of calling De Sanctis. However after the injury of Emiliano Viviano, De Sanctis re-selected as one of the backup of Buffon at UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying matches in September 2011.<\/P>","2299C98649C2E7A9E5F02ED855F2A9FC":"AS Roma,AS Roma,Napoli,Galatasaray,Sevilla,Udinese,Pescara,Juventus","7DECC0B2C7F83A01B36F8F67FA49C295":"2016-7-13","97B41D9FF6388BC00A2A0187557FA1F5":"","C377723034B3384C":"219","e_index":6};
