His love story with football starts early: at only nine he was part of the youth team Lanus, the most prestigious club of the South province of the capital. With the 'granate', Pablo cut his teeth as attacker; in 1999 he joined the Youth Team of Banfield and the following year the Youth Team of Huracan, where he spent six seasons, waiting for stepping up in class.  Finally his chance: at 19 he made his debut in Secunda Division, where he immediately scored 11 goals, proving to be one of the best young striker of the country.

The echo of his goals arrived in Italy: in January 2006, Atalanta called him. His first months in Bergamo saw him protagonist over the last days of Serie B in the Italian championship, where he scored his first goal against Albinoleffe. During one of the matches played with blue-black Youth Team, he was noticed by Zdenek Zeman, who called him the following summer to join the Lecce Youth Team. In Salento, esteemed by the coach, Osvaldo played in a big way for the first half of the season. But in the second half, Zeman's exemption and Papadopulo as new coach playing their part, the Argentine striker had difficulty in finding his place in the sun. Despite it, his season went well having scored 8 goals.

In August 2007, Fiorentina focused on him and offered him a five year contract. Pablo didn't fail to live up to Della Valle's expectations and on the day of his debut in Serie A in Livorno he scored twice. His first year with the purple jersey was excellent. He also scored his first European goal against AEK and two very important goals in Serie A: the first was scored during the last minute of play against Juventus at Delle Alpi Stadium, bringing Fiorentina to win in Piemonte after twenty years; the second one was an extraordinary overhead bicycle kick against Torino during the last match of the season, which secured fourth place in the Table for Fiorentina and access to the Champions League. But not just that: Osvaldo gained his Italian passport and was called by Casiraghi to play in the Italy National Under 21, where he made 12 appearances and two goals in just over one year.

But it wasn't all a bed of roses: the second year with Fiorentina, things were not as the previous one and after six not exhilarating months Osvaldo signed for Bologna. However, because of an injury, too, Osvaldo and the red-blue club didn't hit it off and after only one year he was loaned to the Spanish club Espanyol, that signed him in the summer 2010. In this new Spanish context, he got new life blood and scored 22 goals in 47 matches over the 15 months spent in Catalogna. This earned him a new call from Italy and the chance to go back playing in Serie A, joining the ambitious Luis Enrique's Roma. Now Osvaldo is in the capital and he is determined to keep this positive relationship alive as he did during his first year with Fiorentina.","BDC97245F9A52F8B":"978","60DC9D976694DF52":"1","99B9FE00554E753D0BC6E1E16DA9F791":"Boca Juniors","D41F91B0720932DCFCEBDA572EB68D71":"1986-1-12","EABD711929A60B526AB9CD802EC5F0A7":"12","46F0C72A3415188ABA1E996C06156FBC05C24372D6636D63":"1","2134628892B06B90":"Pablo Daniel Osvaldo","FAF88D97B63B269A":"182cm","8025E7E497D77CF6":"CA Banfield","4039037DD85D60421E356E7B3EA31BE5":"Boca Juniors,FC Porto,Boca Juniors[on loan],Inter Milan[on loan],Juventus[on loan],Southampton,AS Roma,Espanyol,Lecce,Atalanta,CA Huracan,Fiorentina,Bologna","BFA4903D06441BD5032C18CFE9B50683":"","6A0E980854EFD8AD1B424574AD15DF0D":"2020-1-1","e_index":9};
