Daniel Vasile Petrescu is a Romanian football manager and former professional footballer who played as a full-back or a winger. He is currently the manager of Guizhou Hengfeng.<\/P>
Petrescu is best known for playing in the 1989 European Cup final with Steaua Bucharest and winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1998 with English club Chelsea. He earned 95 caps for the Romania national team, and played for his country in two World Cups, in 1994 and 1998, as well as two European Championships, in 1996 and 2000.<\/P>
Towards the end of his playing career he became an assistant to Walter Zenga at National Bucharest. His first manager role was at Sportul Studentesc, whom he led to promotion to the Liga I.<\/P>
