An accomplished and reliable goalkeeper who provides a solid last line of defence for both club and country. Glen Moss gained his first international recognition when called up to the squad for a match against Australia in June 2005, however he didn't earn his first cap until a 1-0 win over Malaysia in February the following year.<\/P>
Since earning his first cap Moss has duelled for the No1 jersey at both domestic and international level with Mark Paston. At the start of last season the 27-year-old departed Wellington Phoenix, where Paston was largely the incumbent, and joined A-League champions Melbourne Victory. After a solid start to the season, Moss lost his place in the starting line-up to Australian teenage prodigy Mitchell Langerak and the lack of regular first-team action will be of concern to All Whites coach Ricki Herbert.<\/P>
Played all three games at the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 stringing together impressive displays, including a well-earned cleansheet in the historic 0-0 draw with Iraq, which gave New Zealand their first point at a senior FIFA tournament. Moss then earned some much-needed game time in March’s friendly defeat against Mexico and in Melbourne’s AFC Champions League run.<\/P>
Moss initially came to international prominence by pulling off a string of impressive saves in a player of the match display against Brazil in a friendly match just prior to the 2006 FIFA World Cup™. Since then he has appeared in two of New Zealand's 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against New Caledonia and Fiji, with the latter match ending in disappointment after being sent off. The subsequent four-match suspension saw Moss miss the play-off qualification matches against Bahrain.
