The Atlanta, Georgia native began his professional career with the MetroStars (now the New York Red Bulls) in 2003, where he was one of the finalists for the &#39;rookie of the year&#39; award in Major League Soccer after a confident opening season in which he turned more than a few heads in the Big Apple.<BR><BR>After becoming a regular member of the squad in New York, he was transferred to the San Jose Earthquakes in 2005 and he then moved again - with the rest of the team in a location change to Houston, where they became the Dynamo - in 2006. It was in Texas that Clark began to really stand out in the holding midfield role, winning back-to-back MLS titles in 2006 and 2007. His performances with the Texas-based club and his outstanding turn with the USA at the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa in 2009 earned the midfielder a move to Germany, with Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.<BR><BR>Clark first broke into the US reckoning in 2005, lining up in a friendly against Central American upstarts Panama. His first goal for the Stars and Stripes came in the 2007 Copa America against Paraguay.
