Profile:

Simone Pepe is an Italian footballer who plays as a right winger for Serie A club Juventus. He is known for his high versatility and can play on either side of the pitch and even as a right fullback.

On 9 June 2010, Juventus announced they had signed Pepe on loan for €2.6M with option to sign him outright for €7.5M, effective on 1 July.

On 22 June Juventus excised the rights to sign him along with Marco Motta in pre-agreed price. During the summer of 2011, there was speculation he may leave but the new manager Antonio Conte persuaded him to stay. He formed a partnership with fullback Stephan Lichtsteiner on the right flank, contributing 4 goals and 2 assists by the first 10 matchdays.

On 29 November 2011, he scored a vital equaliser against Napoli to keep Juventus' unbeaten run going. It was also the first time he has scored in more than two consecutive matches.

Towards the end of title-winning 2011-12 season for Juventus, he netted another crucial goal against S.S. Lazio. In spite of his inconsistent displays, he has endeared himself to the Bianconeri faithful for his work rate and pace, earning the nickname of "Speedy Pepe" while compared with former midfielder Angelo Di Livio.
