Left out of Germany's 2006 FIFA World Cup, Kevin Kuranyi will be looking to add to his impressive tally of international goals at UEFA EURO 2008. A classy, confident centre-forward, he has enjoyed two highly-productive seasons with FC Schalke 04 and, at 26, will hope he is ready to deliver this summer.

Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Panama, he came to Germany in 1997, aged 15.

Youth development at VfB Stuttgart; scored 15 goals in first full Bundesliga campaign (2002/03) as team finished second.

Scored in first two UEFA Champions League games – v Rangers FC and Manchester United FC; started all three matches for Germany at UEFA EURO 2004™ but failed to score.

Eight goals in first six internationals under Jürgen Klinsmann, including hat-trick in 3-1 win over Austria, but barren 2005/06 for Germany cost him World Cup place.

Left Stuttgart for Schalke in 2005; forty Bundesliga goals in three seasons – narrowly missed out on title to former club in 2006/07.

Stunning return to competitive action for national team after almost two years with both goals in UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying win away to Czech Republic in Prague (2-1).
