Began career on the books of Notts County moving onto Blackpool (loan), Scarborough and Torquay United. Having made over 200 Football appearances Lee moved into League of Wales and joined Barry Town then Aberystwyth Town. Lee signed for his first spell with The Pitmen in November 2001 moving to Stafford Rangers in June 2002 then returned to Keys Park during December 2003. Member of FA Trophy winning side in 2004.Voted supporters Player of the year at the end of last season.
