A tall striker, Bernardo Corradi exploits his stature to the full, making him extremely dangerous in the air and a powerful target man.
National team
Corradi scored twice in his first five games for Italy following his international debut in March 2003, a 2-0 win against Finland in a UEFA EURO 2004? qualifier.
UEFA EURO 2004? qualifying
Corradi started one of Italy's eight matches - the June 2003 match in Finland - and came off the bench on two occasions. Was an unused sub in the two 4-0 home wins against Wales and Azerbaijan.
Club
Born in Siena in March 1976, Corradi failed to make a single appearance for his hometown club, and spent the early years of his career at a succession of lower division sides before turning professional with Cagliari Calcio in 1997.
1999: Corradi made his top-flight debut at the beginning of the 1999/00 season against his future employers, S.S Lazio. However, he was largely restricted to substitute appearances in his first Serie A campaign, but a move to AC Chievo Verona the next summer revitalised his career.
2002/03: Twenty goals in 65 games for Chievo earned Corradi a move to Internazionale FC for €4m, but he failed to win a first-team place with the Milan side and moved to Lazio midway through the campaign. He quickly rediscovered his scoring touch, and found the net ten times in the remainder of the season.
