| Landzaat made his debut for ‘Oranje’ in 2001 during the qualifying campaign for the 2002 FIFA World Cup™, but only became a first team regular when Marco van Basten took over. The midfielder started his career at Ajax, but developed his talent with MVV and Willem II. Landzaat captains AZ, a club which has become a real threat to Dutch giants Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV over the last two seasons. Landzaat represented the Netherlands at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship and has a reputation for not missing penalties.
