Profile:
A rock and a "jolly" on defense, Nicolas Burdisso was born as player with Boca in his heart and right there at the Bombonera he emerged as a player of international level: with the "xeneizes", in fact, Nico won it all, from the leagues to three Libertadores Cups and two Intercontinental Cups. After the triumphs at home, the Argentinian champion went on to win more laurels in Italy, where with Inter he won 4 League titles, as well as two Italian Cups and three League's SuperCups. Since last season he became part of AS Roma, where he is very well accepted by the giallorossi supporters, which he describes as "warm and passionate" as those of Boca.

Speaking about Argentina, with the National Team his score is remarkable: for Nicolas a gold medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004, in addition to the Under 20 World Cup three years earlier. 2009/2010, for him, was a superb season in giallorosso, and because of that he also earned the call-up by Maradona to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
