Juan Quero Barraso is a Spanish footballer who plays for Córdoba CF on loan from Rayo Vallecano, as a midfielder.
Diminutive Quero began playing football for Real Madrid, moving to lowly DAV Santa Ana (Tercera División) after his unsuccessful youth spell. In the summer of 2005, he signed for another club from Madrid, AD Alcorcón, moving up a division.
Quero signed for second division outfit Polideportivo Ejido for 2006–07. However, a few months later, the Royal Spanish Football Federation deemed the deal illegal, and the player returned to his previous club without any official appearances for the Andalusians.
In 2007–08, Quero finally played in the second level, being an important offensive weapon as CD Numancia returned to the top level after a three-year absence. He produced roughly the same numbers in the following season, but did not find the net and the Soria club was relegated back; his La Liga debut came on 14 September 2008, in a 3–4 loss away loss against Real Madrid. |
