A surprise member of Croatia's UEFA EURO 2008 squad given that he was uncapped when the announcement was made, Nikola Pokrivač is a talented young left-footer who can operate in a variety of different positions. The 22-year-old moved from NK Dinamo Zagreb to AS Monaco FC in January 2008.
A Croatian international at Under-17, U19 and U21 levels, he made his league debut for NK Varteks in 2004.
Inspirational figure at left-back as the Varazdin club finished third in 2005/06 Prva Liga and reached final of Croatian Cup, losing on away goals rule to NK Rijeka after winning second leg 5-1.
Joined Dinamo Zagreb midway through 2006/07 campaign and won domestic double; made ten European appearances for club in 2007/08 before move to south of France.
Just nine Ligue 1 outings for Monaco, five in the starting XI.
