Sebastian Walter Kehl (born 13 February 1980) is a German footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Borussia Dortmund and currently captains the team. Kehl is naturally left footed and has also occasionally appeared at left back.

Personal life
Kehl and his girlfriend, Tina, have two children Luis, born on 26 September 2006 and Leni, born on 19 October 2009.

Career
Born in Fulda, Kehl joined Borussia Dortmund in 2001 and has made over 200 appearances until now. Kehl is a key player for the club, but he has faced many injury problems over his career.

He made his international debut against Slovakia on 29 May 2001 and has made a total of 31 appearances for Germany. Kehl won the runner-up in 2002 World Cup and the third place in 2006 World Cup
