25-year-old Gareth was born in Australia and began his career in England with Nottingham Forest as a trainee in 1998, where he played in 17 matches. He is a workhorse midfield player who joined the Dons in the summer of 2004 following spells with Swindon Town and Bradford City. Gareth is probably best known amongst Dons fans for his late, late goal against Tranmere Rovers, which kept the team up on the last day of the 2004/5 season. Although normally a central midfielder, he is equally apedt playing any one of a number of positions including right back and right midfield
