Beardsley was released by Keith Curle after making his way into the first team under his reign. Leaving Field Mill he joined his Former youth team manager Stuart Watkiss who was manager at Kidderminster Harriers where Beardsley soon became a crowd favourite finding the net on a regular basis. Unfortunately though, his goal scoring prowess was not enough to save the Harriers from making the drop out of the league.

Beardsley was then invited back to Field Mill by Carlton Palmer but the youngster was blighted by injury when former team mate Kevin Pilkington broke his leg during the derby game versus Notts County ruling him out of action for the 2005/06 season.

Now back to fitness he has a tough job fighting for the starting jersey at the front of the park.
