Dubbed the 'Croatian Gattuso', Ognjen Vukojević resembles the AC Milan and Italy star in the way he scraps and forages for possession. He has earned his place at UEFA EURO 2008 thanks to the major role he played in helping NK Dinamo Zagreb to the 2007/08 Croatian league and cup double.

Made early waves with NK Slaven Koprivnica, making 53 league appearances in two seasons before ill-fated move to Belgian club K. Lierse SK.

Failed to settle at Lierse and returned to Croatia in December 2005, joining Dinamo Zagreb.

Became first-team regular in 2006/07, winning both domestic trophies – the Croatian Cup at the expense of former club Slaven, beaten 2-1 on aggregate in the final.

Helped Dinamo to eliminate AFC Ajax from first round of 2007/08 UEFA Cup.

Scored on international debut – 16 October 2007 v Slovakia; made just one appearance as a substitute (away to F.Y.R. Macedonia) in UEFA EURO 2008 qualification.
