Selcuk Inan is a Turkish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Super Lig side Galatasaray and the Turkey national team.
Inan scored 2 goals against Ankaraspor in his first Super Lig game at Trabzonspor. He also scored Trabzonspor's 2000th league goal at the game against Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi S.K. in November 1, 2008. He had formed a prolific partnership with strikers Umut Bulut and Burak Yilmaz (with Burak also being a team mate in Manisaspor). During Inan's services, Trabzonspor had the most successful 2 seasons of the decade, most notably finishing as the runners-up in the 2010–11 Super Lig season.
In his first season at Galatasaray, İnan scored 13 goals and made 16 assists to his team mates in both Super Lig and Super Final competitions. As the top scorer and assister in his team, he was certainly the man in the spotlight throughout the season and gave the most effective help to Galatasaray on winning the league title.
At the end of Galatasaray's 2013–14 Champions League campaign which the Turkish outfit were eliminated by Real Madrid in the quarter finals despite the 3–2 home win, Inan had made 5 assists in total and was again at second spot after Xavi Hernandez in the top passers list of UEFA.com. Inan also had 92% pass accuracy in the second leg of the tie against Real Madrid, where he produced 87 passes till the final whistle, which had been a Champions League record for the season.
Inan scored 2 superlative goals in the league game against Sivasspor on May 5, where Galatasaray claimed their 19th league title. As Galatasaray won the game, Inan was again chosen man of the match.
