Elseid Gezim Hysaj (born 2 February 1994) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Serie A club Lazio and captains the Albania national team.
His preferred position is left back although he can also play left wing back without a dip in performance. He is able to win most of his challenges and defend more reliably than most of his peers. Besides, he fit into a possession-centered approach better than most, and win most, but certainly not all, headers and tackles, meaning he's generally able to cover savvy attackers when defending corners and set pieces
Being born in the year 1994 he is also still eligible to represent the Albania national under-21 football team at the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. In July 2015, Hysaj transferred to Napoli in a €6million move, making it the most expensive move involving an Albanian international ahead of Lorik Cana. |
