Profile:
Andy Keogh arrived on a month loan at the Iron from Leeds United at the start of the 2004/05 season.

The 18-year-old Dublin born striker started the campaign on the bench but soon won a place in the starting eleven scoring two goals in four starts. His impressive displays convinced the Iron to keep him for another month but his spell at Glanford Park was shortened after Leeds called him back during an injury crisis.

However, United boss Brian Laws was so impressed with the irish forward that he bought him for an undisclosed fee during the following January and after settling in during the remainder of the 2004/05 season Keogh has proved to be the real deal in 2005/06.

The striker has formed a lethal partnership with Billy Sharp and the two forwards both look certain to be stars of the future afte rplundering 38 goals between them in their opening season together.

Keogh was handed his first Republic of Ireland U-21 call-up in January 2006 following a superb run of form, which included a superb goal against Premiership side Manchester City at Eastlands.
