Dawson, a tough tackling Dubliner joined the Stags from Leicester City in the Summer of 2005. A likeable character but aggressive footballer, the midfield player possesses all the traits of a classic midfield general - pace, strength and discipline. Finding the back of the net in the pre-season against Rotherham United and again in the 2005 seasonal opener against Stockport County his tricky footwork and speed failed to extend the tally on the scoresheet but finding the net again in the preseason of 2006/07 he looks a genuine threat in front of the oppositions goal. |
