| Redha Tukar started his career at second division Ohod and then joined Al Shabab, with whom he won the 2001 AFC Cup Winners’ Cup. He subsequently moved on to Al Ittihad and helped them win the AFC Champions League last year. A strong defender, he forms a solid central defensive partnership for both club and country with the 2005 Asian Player of the Year, Hamad Al Montashari. First called into the national set-up just before the 2002 FIFA World Cup™, he is known for his tough tackling and scoring threat from set-pieces - qualities which more than compensate for his occasional lapses of concentration.
