Profile:
Alan Hutton is another one of the Murray Park youth brigade to join the ranks of the first team looks certain to have a very bright future ahead of him.

The right-back was a surprise inclusion in Alex McLeish's starting line up against Partick Thistle at the tail end of 2002/03 but it was the following season where he rose to prominence.

He turned in a stunning display on his Ibrox bow against Dundee then grabbed his debut goal in the next game against Dunfermline on the hallowed turf.

The Scotland under-21 internationalist ended the 2003/04 season as a first team regular having been in the starting line-up for the final eleven games of the season.

The tall, athletic defender has an old head on young shoulders and looks set to play a major role for Alex McLeish in the years ahead.

A leg break sustained against Kilmarnock in February 2005 kept him out of action until October but he returned to top team action against Motherwell and has never looked back.
