Aleksandr Kerzakov was born on 27 September, 1982 in Kingisepp. He is educatee of football school «Zenit» (the first coach V. I. Petrov) and later he got knowledge from Y. Soloviev and S. Romanov. He is a Master of Sport of Russia.

Aleksandr played for the Russian national youth team, his debute at the national team had place on 27. 03. 2002. He is a participant of World Championship 2002 and Europe Championship 2004.

His professional career begun at the club KFK «Sviatogorets» (Svetogorsk) under the glance of V. A. Kazachenok. From 2001 he defends the interests of «Zenit». His debute at the first squad had place on 10. 03. 2001 in the match with «Rotor» (Volgograd)

The best bombardier of «Zenit» for the whole club history at the Russia Championship, Russia Cup and EuroCups.

The best bombardier of «Zenit» at the Russia Championships 2002 – 2004.

He is married and brings up a daughter.
