Uncapped at the time of Spain's UEFA EURO 2008 squad announcement, Andres Palop travels to Austria and Switzerland as his country's third-choice goalkeeper. The 34-year-old has enjoyed many memorable experiences at club level, notably in winning the UEFA Cup three times in four years – once with Valencia CF, twice with Sevilla FC.
Began career with hometown Valencia CF's reserve side; moved up coast to Villarreal CF, winning promotion to Primera División in first season but suffering relegation in second.
Back with Valencia in 1999/00; would spend next six years as back-up to Spanish international Santiago Caizares.
