Profile:
A tricky right winger, Georgi Peev possesses the ability to do the unexpected, a style which is well complemented by his pace. Physically strong, he twists and turns and makes it difficult for defenders to take the ball off him.

National team

Previously a regular at Under-21 level, Peev went on to graduate to the Bulgarian senior side, becoming a key member of the team that qualified for the finals of UEFA EURO 2004?.

UEFA EURO 2004? qualifying

A vital part of the Bulgaria side which topped qualifying Group B, Peev missed just one of the eight matches - the 2-2 home draw against Belgium - starting six and coming off the bench once.

Club

Peev began his career as a striker with PFC Lokomotiv Sofia before being converted into a midfield player by Valeriy Lobanovskiy after signing for FC Dynamo Kyiv in November 2000. He played in 13 matches in his first season in Ukraine, scoring once, and then scored six times in 25 league games the following year, in which he also made two UEFA Champions League appearances.

2002/03: Peev was again a regular before breaking his leg against FC Metalurh Zaporizya in May 2003. He was back in action by the time the Champions League got under way in the autumn, playing all 90 minutes against FC Lokomotiv Moskva on Matchday 1.
