Mauricio Sabillon has carved out a reputation as a buccaneering right-back and has been a regular feature of the Honduras starting XI since Reinaldo Rueda was appointed coach. His contributions on the right flank will be vital to the Catracho cause when they embark on their second FIFA World Cup™ campaign at South Africa 2010.<\/P>
Now 31, Sabillon started out with Marathon in 1999 and stayed with the San Pedro Sula side for many seasons, becoming one of the club’s most dependable players. Breaking his way into the national team, his ability to shuttle up and down the flank made him a valuable addition to the side for home games, though he was less frequently used away due to the fact that Los Catrachos tend to adopt a more defensive approach on their travels.<\/P>
It was for that reason that he flitted between the first team and the bench during the CONCACAF qualifying competition for South Africa 2010.<\/P>
At the start of the year he opted for a complete change of scenery, signing for Chinese side Hangzhou Greentown, a move that seemed initially to jeopardise his international career.
