Neil John Taylor is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a left back for Premier League club Aston Villa and the Wales national team. A former Manchester City trainee, he began his career with Wrexham in 2007 and moved to Swansea City for an initial £150,000 in 2010, going on to make 179 appearances for the Swans. He joined Aston Villa in January 2017 as part of a swap for Jordan Ayew.

Taylor made his full international debut for Wales in 2010, and has since earned over 40 caps. He was part of their squad which reached the semi-finals at UEFA Euro 2016, and also represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics on home soil.
