Indeed, the left-winger has inspired Partizan to a domestic double, signed for English giants Manchester United, impressed in the German Bundesliga and flashed his genius in the red jersey of Serbia.

Following spells at Proleter Zrenjanin and Buducnost Banatski Dvor – who would later merge into one club – as a teenager, Tosic penned a four-year contract with Partizan in August 2007. In his first season at the club, his ability to run at opponents and sight for goal proved integral to the Belgrade outfit’s league and cup double.

Tosic continued to delight for Partizan in the first half of the following campaign, but they were unable to retain him once Manchester United came knocking. After landing at Old Trafford in January 2009, the Serbian prospect made his debut as a substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
With fierce competition for places, Tosic received little playing time in his first 12 months with the Red Devils and was consequently loaned to Cologne at the start of this year. He made a quick impression in the German top flight, and scored his first goals in a 4-1 win over Hannover.

The Serbian will return to United ahead of the 2010\/11 campaign, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted he has a future at the Premier League big guns.

Tosic was part of the Serbia side that lost to the Netherlands in the 2007 UEFA European U-21 Championship decider, and turned out in the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Beijing 2008. He made his full debut that same year and appeared three times, twice from the bench, in his country’s qualifying campaign for the 19th edition of the FIFA World Cup.

Tosic scored a brace - his first goals for Serbia at senior level - in a 3-1 success away to South Africa in a friendly in August 2009, and netted his fourth goal for Radomir Antic’s team in a 3-0 win in Algeria earlier this year.","F4AE865DDB6B58D9":"Zoran Tosic","97B41D9FF6388BC00A2A0187557FA1F5":"","4ADA354908754559E53E3FA7C013DA37":"18","3D0CAED1D8820318D15DE014CB00C4C7":"Serbia","776ABA890334BE6B3BFB7EFC5D96F457":"Tobol Kostanai","C99F63DD4716E450533B17E1817DB7B9":"1987-4-28","7DECC0B2C7F83A01B36F8F67FA49C295":"2023-1-26","97C471949E1057BEF55B60029EC94B5E":"0","C377723034B3384C":"2316","2B1A74B80063A830":"1","9085EF0B5B518612":"71kg","e_index":6};
