Javi Garcia signed for Manchester City on 31 August 2012.

Garcia brings extensive experience of the Champions League with him to Manchester, having made his competition debut for Real Madrid back in 2005.

A defensive midfielder by trade, the 25-year old has been capped by the Spanish national team once, in a friendly against Serbia this year.

Garcia began his career at City’s forthcoming Champions League opponents Real Madrid, representing their B team 86 times before graduating to the first team.

He won the European U19 Championships with his country, playing alongside Juan Mata and Gerard Pique as they defeated Scotland in the final in Poland.<\/P>","57C2653B331A7DDA71EF0009D79DD15B8B218E4BC397458C":"1","4EFF01CD2A1AA8474DF07D17EF0164A9":"Spain","68B71F6A7FE5F18E":"80kg","7850BFBCDDAACDE9":"Javi Garcia","EB70E23140D61D3403104435C4316058":"6","53F6A06F211D096A":"Boavista FC","3316B2DB0B85B0BE":"Javi Garcia","6F2A70628678CF42F2F15CA1EF3BF952":"","156AB99B762676230C18DFFD85A3FAED":"Real Madrid
