ONE of the stars of Boro's FA Youth Cup winning squad, Andrew's favourite position is either left-back or centre-back. <\/STRONG><\/P>

But it was on the left side of midfield that the Hartlepool-born teenager helped Boro beat Aston Villa to lift the 2004 FA Youth Cup. <\/P>

Andrew, whose heroes are Boro's Gareth Southgate and Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand, is an England U18 international. He was called into the Boro first team squad for the Premiership game against Bolton in April 2004. <\/P>

A hugely-successful loan spell at Bradford City in the 2005\/06 season underlined Andrew's potential and earned him an England U21 call up.<\/P>

On his recall to the Riverside he was drafted straight back into the first team squad and he was one of Boro's best performers in the 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat to West Ham at Villa Park.<\/P>

Deputised at left-back after Julio Arca broke his foot in the first game of the 2006\/7 season at Reading.
